The Class of 2021 and 2022 graduation requirements (shown in attached chart) include:

  • 4 credits of English
  • 4 credits of Math (including Algebra 2 equivalent)
  • 3 credits of Science
  • 3 credits of Social Studies
  • 1/2 a credit of Health
  • 1/2 a credit of Physical Education
  • 5 credits of elective
  • Fine Art Requirement - all students must complete a full year of fine art between 7th and 12th grade
  • Financial Literacy Requirement - all students must select a course to meet this requirement which includes: Financial Algebra, Personal Financial Management, Economics & Financial Literacy and IB Social Studies classes
  • Take 7 End of Course Exams: English 1, English 2, Math 1, Math 2, Biology, American History, and American Government
  • Students in the Class of 2021 and 2022 must meet one of the following:
    • Earn cumulative passing score on 7 end of course exams of 18 points overall
      • at least 4 points must come from English
      • at least 4 points must come from Math
      • at least 6 points must come from Science and Social Studies
    • Earn a "Remediation Free" score on the ACT or SAT
    • Earn a State Board of Education approved, industry-recognized credential or a state issued license for practice in a career and achieve a score that demonstrates workforce readiness and employability on a job skills assessment

    • Military Seal: Enlist in the military
    • Honors Diploma Seal: Fulfill the requirements to earn an Honors Diploma
    • Ohio Means Jobs Readiness Seal: Fulfill the requirements for the Ohio Means Jobs Readiness program
    • Bilteracy Seal: Demonstrate through scores on exams that student is bilingual
    • Industry Credential: Earn 12 points through specified state credential programs
    • College Ready Seal: Earn college ready scores on the ACT or SAT
    • Technology Seal: Successfully complete a state approved AP/ CC+ or local Technology course
    • Community Service Seal: LOCAL SEAL - Participate in WKHS Senior Project or other approved community service program
    • Fine & Performing Arts Seal: LOCAL SEAL - Earn one or more of the following:
      • Successfully complete 2.0 or more units of Fine and/or Performing Arts Classes
        • Note: a student who successfully completes a season of a district sponsored fine or performing arts extracurricular activity (play, musical, marching band) can count this as an additional .5 unit.  So, for example, a student who successfully participates in and passes a year long band course and also in Marching band in one season can receive 1.0 units for the course and .5 units for the extracurricular activity to earn a total of 1.5 units in 1 year.
      • Earn a 2 or higher on an AP or 3 or higher on an IB Fine or Performing Arts exam
    • Student Engagement Seal: LOCAL SEAL- Participate in 2 or more of the following over the 4 years:
      • Sports/ Marching Band (1 season)
      • Drama/ Play/ Musical (1 performance series)
      • Student Council (1 year)
      • Activities/ Clubs (1 year)
