-          Math 150 – (equivalent to Honors PreCalculus)

-          Math 200 (equivalent to AP Calculus AB)

-          Intro to Business

Then you need to Apply to COTC at www.cotc.edu

-          Indicate you will be taking classes at Pataskala campus even though you will really be taking it here at WKHS with a WKHS teacher.

-          You will need your Social Security Number to apply.

-          The entire application will take you about 10 minutes to complete.

-          Do not use your wscloud email account as your email address.

     DEADLINE TO APPLY: Friday, May 12th

 

 

If you are planning to take one of the following CC+ college classes:

-          Composition 1 (English 1100)

-          Composition 2 (English 2367)

-          Psychology (PSY 1100)

-          Government (POLS 1100)

-          Sociology (SOC 1101)

-          Mythology (CLAS 1222)

-          Physical Geology (GEOL 1121)*

-          Intro to Programming Logic (CSCI 1103)


Step 1: to Apply to CSCC at http://www.cscc.edu/academics/college-credit-plus/

-          Indicate you are a CC+ student.

-          You will need your Social Security Number to apply.

-          The entire application will take you about 10 minutes to complete.

-          Do not use your wscloud email account as your email address.

     DEADLINE TO APPLY: Friday, May 12th

-          Approximately 2 days later you will receive your acceptance notification from CSCC with your Cougar ID number listed.  Do NOT lose this number!

 

Step 2: Complete a CSCC Registration Consent Form.

-          Get signed by parent and include your Cougar ID number before submitting the form to the counseling center.  This is due back no later than Monday, May 15th.

 

Step 3: Submit ACT or SAT scores or Take Placement Tests no later than July 1st  

-          ACT Scores:

  • If you earned an 18 on the English and a 22 on the Reading, you have met the benchmark
  • Download a pdf copy of your ACT student score report and turn it into the Counseling Center

-          SAT Scores:

  • If you earned a 490 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section, you have met the benchmark
  • Copy your student score report and turn it into the Counseling Center

-          Placement Tests

  • If you have not taken the ACT or SAT or do not have a high enough score to meet the benchmark, then you need to take the placement test at CSCC.
  • You can take the placement tests at any of the CSCC testing branches. (Delaware, Dublin, Westerville, or Downtown)
  • You will need to take the reading and writing placement tests.  This usually takes about 2 hours to complete. (Approximately 1 hour per test.)
  • You will need to achieve CSCC designated scores in order to reach the level needed to take the CC+ classes.  
    • Reading test: 80
    • Writing test: 5
  • You will need your Cougar ID number in order to test
  • It is possible to take the placement test more than once if needed.
  • Deadline to submit scores and/ or complete your placement testing is suggested by May 24th, but students have until July 1st to meet CSCC’s requirements.

*Please note the Physical Geology class will be housed at Linworth and students must also complete the Math placement test (earning a 30 or higher) or have an ACT Math score of 20 or SAT Math score of 510.
